Portrait of the archivist

The Archivist

Jugglers of History began with a single recording — a voice describing a man who could juggle seven balls with a cigarette balanced on his nose. I listened to it twice, then a third time, and realized I'd never heard the name before.

That is the pattern: small wonders, performed by people who once filled theatres and now exist only in footnotes. I gather their stories the way others press flowers, and keep them here in audio — a quiet room you can step into.

Each entry is short. Each is sourced from memory, from books, from interviews. None of it is comprehensive. All of it is loving.

— Thank you for listening.
